Itinerary

Thursday

Thursday is an arrival day to give the horse and rider an opportunity to settle in and prepare for Camp.  It is also an excellent opportunity for socializing--catching up with old friends and meeting news ones!  A rolling lunch will be served from 12:00-4:00 PM.  Those shipping horses to the facility may arrive after 12:00 PM.   Amy Magee of Black Diamond Designs will be on hand to check saddle fit and repair tack and to discuss pricing.  Please reach out to Amy before Camp if you have any specific tack needs.  Riders may also schedule private lessons with Heidi Opdyke on this day.  Please Contact Us to schedule your lesson.  We will then head out into Lambertville/New Hope for a social, pay-your-own-way evening.

Friday

Riders and auditors may arrive at 8:30 AM for catered continental breakfast and an introductory lecture on fox chasing by Heidi Opdyke and Amy Magee. 

Discussion on appropriate tack, followed by a participant tack check.  

Morning videoed and photographed group lessons.  (All riders.  Options include smaller inclosed jump field or sand arena.) 

Attire discussion and participant apparel check.

Catered lunch.

Afternoon videoed and photographed group lessons. (All riders.  Options include smaller inclose jump field or larger inclosed jump field.)

Dinner provided and review of lesson video highlights and teachable moments.

Saturday

Catered continental breakfast provided and lecture by Angela Greer on fox chasing side saddle tips.

Morning videoed and photographed group lessons.  (All riders.  Option of jump field.) 

Catered Tea--Please bring (or borrow) a fancy hat or fascinator!  

Outdoor horse and rider meeting the Amwell Valley Hounds.

Afternoon videoed and photographed group lessons. (All riders.  Option of jump field.)

Dinner provided and review of lesson video highlights and teachable moments.

End of Camp.

 

Sunday

Participating Camp Riders are invited to cap courtesy of the Amwell Valley Hounds at no charge on November 10th.  Riders are welcome to cap aside or astride.  Those who do not wish to cap may follow the chase by car, or schedule private lessons with a Camp Instructor on this day.  Paws and Rewind will be photographing the meet and the chase.

 

Full lesson videos will be available for rider review online after Camp complimentary of Paws and Rewind.  Photos of Camp by Paws and Rewind will be available for sale individually, or as a digital package.
